Labelling and responsibility
Food supplements are foods. Mandatory label information is governed in particular by the Food Information to Consumers Regulation (Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011). Health claims are only permitted within the scope of the Nutrition and Health Claims Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006).
The business placing the product on the market – usually the brand under which it is sold – is responsible for formulation, label text and compliance. We fill according to your specification and document production with batch records and retained samples.
Questions about contract filling of food supplements
What is your minimum order quantity?
Stand-up pouches from 100 units, bottles from 500 units. For jars and other containers, we state the minimum quantity in our quote.
Can I get a sample first?
Yes. Before series production we fill a sample free of charge, so you can check container, filling and label before production starts.
Do you encapsulate in-house?
Yes. We encapsulate your formulation and then fill the capsules into the container of your choice.
Do I have to supply the raw material?
No. You can supply the raw material or we source it for you.
Which documents do I receive?
Our documentation includes batch records, retained samples, certificates of analysis and safety data sheets.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to all EU countries. On request, we store the goods in Arbing and ship them as needed.
